Vocabulary



Volcano: a weak spot in the crust where molten material, comes up to the surface

Magma: a mixture of gases and water from the mantle

Lava: when magma reaches to the surface, it becomes lava

Ring of Fire: a major volcanic belt, formed by many volcanoes along the Pacific Ocean

Hot Spot: an area where magma from inside the mantle melts through the crust
